photography blog - Bernard Safran: New York photographs, Fruit Market.
I chose this photograph because I like the way its taken. The composition is pretty normal but the lighting is very cool from my point of view, it might be black & white without colour but the blur in the background is what I really love about this photo. I like the way the man in the fore ground is in focus and the background is very blur out of focus. This is my favourite technique when it comes to photography theory/practical. I think the photographer set the right aperture f stop, shutter speed and ISO for the type of location he's at, he could of set the aperture f stop lower but overall the photo is GREAT! The photo is pretty effective, it caught my eye really well because of the way that the man in the photograph is in the center of the image looking straight towards this way, it looks like he was in the middle of something like his job but then someone comes up and calls him out then takes a snapshot of him with his face lowards this way, with the background blurry the foreground stands out pretty well and very clear. The guy looks pretty confused but the photo looks awesome from what I think and my point of view.
